Gotta look at Vimeo more often

I've been waiting patiently for Vimeo to get up to speed and start supplying good solid stuff to watch.  I have never been a YouTube fan - mostly because it's terribly ugly and the people who comment on videos turn my stomach, for the most part, and make me feel very cynical about the human race.  Vimeo is simply designed, if a little cutesy, and it's embedded player is both much prettier and more functional than YouTube's.  Oh - and so far, I haven't seen Google ads in Vimeo videos...

Vimeo came out of the gate with better quality video than YouTube had at the time - and on the whole, a higher quality of video MAKER.

I'm not one to advocate you adding yet another "recents" feed to your blog, or spreading yourself any thinner over the virtual social sphere - but Vimeo is going in my bookmarks bar for more frequent digging.

ok, these two are my friends - not a random find.  but hey, I love the video!

Would it be passive aggressive to send this link to all my clients - past, present and future?

Derek speaketh the truth!

Dig into the entire series - it's good stuff...  And although his articles are directed at web designers and programmers, just about anyone who's ever had a job can find some parallels.

One, please!

I'm probably going to have to start adding ones and fives to my change jar - or maybe sell my liver - to afford this... But as a long-time Voigtlander fan and owner and user of the original Voigtlander Bessa rangefinder from the 30's, this drool-inspiring rig is nothing short of a must-have.  Anybody need a lightly-abused but perfectly serviceable kidney?!?  more: http://bit.ly/2CyyHJ

a gem of an election

The simple all-red/all-blue thing is limiting and doesn't tell the whole story.  So moving forward, let's embrace this new spirit of inclusiveness and make a real effort to understand and respect the multi-faceted beauty of our political map.

People sometimes ask why I'm not on Facebook. Or Myspace. Or Friendster. Etc.

Scott Brown has pretty much nailed it for me.
